I was introduced to Gabriel via Lisa Bearnson's blog. She posted that she knew a family whose boy was terminally ill and could we say prayers and send cards with just a dollar to him. I sent a card around Christmas with a dollar and so did thousands of others. I also visited Gabriel's Caring Bridge blog: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gabrield. I read about his daily life, his ups and downs, his fight against the cancer that we all prayed would go away and let him live. It didn't and now Gabriel leaves this world on April 26, 2010 at 3:08 am, as an eight year old boy, teaching me more about strength and grace than any priest or minister ever could. God bless Gabriel and his family.
